See where you win and lose, topic by topic.

Buyers do not ask AI about your brand. They ask about what they need. Topic Intelligence shows where you stand on the subjects they ask about, which competitors are ahead, and how your position changes by AI platform.

The Cited dashboard, running on sample data.

Topics where you lose

See what slipped, who took it, and what to fix first.

See which topics are losing ground, which competitor gained it, and what your team should act on first. Cited ranks the gaps by potential impact, not by how loud the alert looks.

What that means
  • See what moved. Know the topic, how much share you gained or lost, and which competitor moved the other way.
  • Know what to fix first. Prioritise the gap that can make the biggest difference, instead of chasing every movement. A quick fix on a small topic can beat a loud alarm on a big one.

Every topic scored

See the full picture for every topic, not one blended score.

A brand can lead one topic and disappear on the next. Topic Intelligence keeps each topic separate, with its own mention rate, position, citation rate, citation share and share of voice, plus the trend that tells you whether it is moving.

What that means
  • Five readings, not one blended score. See how often AI names you, where you appear, how often your pages are cited, how much citation share you hold, and how much of the conversation you own.
  • Attack, defend or monitor. Cited turns those readings into a verdict: where to gain ground, where to protect a lead, and where the signal is too thin to spend against.
  • A current reading, not a forecast. The verdict tells you where you stand today and how the signal has moved. It does not pretend to predict the future.

Competitors by topic

Open any topic and see who is winning, and why.

Open a topic to see which competitors lead, where you are missing, and which sources and pages appear behind the answers. Then move from the topic-level gap to the evidence behind it. The numbers match the scoreboard, so nobody reconciles two versions.

What that means
  • See the pages AI is citing. Find the URLs appearing behind the topic, so your team can study them, improve on them, or pursue the same sources.
  • See exactly who is ahead. Compare competitors on the same five readings inside that one topic, not on a brand-wide average, which is rarely your position there.
  • Drill down when you need to. Move from topic to competitor to platform to source to page without losing the original benchmark.

Your standing by platform

Lead a topic on one AI platform and disappear on another.

Filter to one topic and see how your visibility changes across AI platforms. A gap on one platform can point to a different source or content problem than a gap everywhere else.

What that means
  • One topic, every platform. Compare the same topic across every AI platform you track, instead of mixing them into one average.
  • Know where the problem changes. Leading on one platform but absent on another usually points at that platform's sources rather than at your page.

Questions about Topic Intelligence

Still deciding? Talk to us or read the guides.

Where do topics come from?

From the prompts you already track. Cited groups those prompts by the subject buyers are asking about, so each topic represents a real set of AI questions in your tracked prompt library, and weighs on the scoreboard in proportion to how much of that library sits inside it. Search volume is not an input. This is not a traditional keyword-ranking tool.

What decides whether a topic says attack or defend?

Your current position, how your share has moved, and the competitive signal around the topic. Attack means you are underrepresented and there is meaningful ground to gain. Defend means you hold a strong position worth protecting. Monitor means the signal is not strong enough to justify action yet. It is a reading of where you are today, not a prediction of where the topic is going.

What does a thin signal mean?

There are not enough observations to treat the movement as strong evidence, because too few of your tracked prompts touch that topic. Cited keeps the signal visible and says so on the card, rather than turning limited data into a confident recommendation.

Can I see one topic on a single AI platform?

Yes, in two places. The platforms tab inside a topic gives you that topic across every AI platform you track, and the benchmark chart does the same with a topic filter on it. That separates a platform-specific gap from a broader topic-level weakness, which one blended number hides.

What do I do with the pages a topic is citing?

Use them as evidence for the next action. Study which pages and source types appear in the answers, find where competitors are getting cited and you are not, then turn the gap into work: get placed on that kind of page, or publish a better version and get that cited instead. The worklist turns the second into a named URL with an estimate of impact and effort on it.

Know which topics matter. Then know why you win or lose them.

Topic Intelligence tells you where the gaps are. Source Intelligence shows you the sources behind those gaps. The Task Operating System turns the findings into work your team can act on.
