Why we're building Cited

AI is changing how consumers discover products — and most brands have no idea how they appear in that conversation. When someone asks ChatGPT for the best luggage brand, or asks Gemini for a skincare recommendation, traditional SEO metrics tell you nothing about whether you showed up. That gap is what Cited exists to close.

I spent 14 years building consumer internet products at PharmEasy, Ola Electric, and Jio — and watched the same pattern play out every time a new channel emerged: the brands who measured first won. GEO is that moment, right now. Most brands are still debating whether AI search matters. The ones who move first will own the category in AI answers before competitors even start tracking.

Cited is being built to give brands the measurement layer that doesn't exist yet — visibility scores, competitor benchmarks, platform-specific insights, and content recommendations that actually move the needle.
